Just when I thought I could pack the thermals away...

It is very cold, breezy and non-stop raining. It's currently 6C at midday - it's forecast to get to 10C, but I doubt it will get there.

    with snow a metre deep between Taupo and Napier... not surprising it's cold here in Hamilton :)

    Your weather is exactly the same as here. Not really good for doing the tourist sites with Mum & Dad.
